FIS-CARE: Mansi-Yalamalli
Dr Mansi Yalamalli
Dental Academic, Head of Communications and PR, Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre
Dr Mansi is a Public Health Dentist by training, however her heart has always been in the field of animal welfare. She has been a part of Care since its inception in 2013, building their social media presence, establishing the volunteering program, conducting outreach events, grant writing and fundraising. With over a decade of experience rescuing, fostering and finding homes for animals, she has utilized her communication and writing skills to build the presence of CARE as an organisation, helping in fundraising and representation of not only the work that CARE does, but also advocacy of animal welfare in general. She is a Tedx Speaker, who believes that her sense of purpose is to be the voice of animals and foster kindness for them in the hearts of her fellow humans.

FIS-CARE: Deepak
Deepak is the PR of CARE, who has been working with them for the past 8 years. He says that his experience working with CARE has been so wonderful that you know you’re making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable animals, giving them safety, care, and the chance for a better future. In CARE, he deals with 600+ animals, including the ones present for treatment and permanent residents. In his opinion, volunteering is so much fun at the shelter. CARE has over 800+ volunteers who are involved in all kinds of animal-related work, which includes cleaning, feeding, disinfecting, adoption drives, events, promoting indie dogs etc… He chooses to work for a cause because he always has been around animals from a very young age so he chooses to be around and do the best that is possible from my end.

CARE – HARLEY
Harley lost both his front legs when he got electrocuted. A kind person got him treated for the burn injuries but Harley didn’t have a place to go to. Thats when he came to Care. Harley loves people and immediately hops into their laps. He is a happy boy now making the most of his life at Care.

CARE – IVY
Ivy was a pet who was abandoned on the streets with a tumour – squamous cell carcinoma that affected her eyesight. She was treated at CARE and became a part of our permanent resident cats. She is completely blind, gentle and very affectionate.

CARE – MOWGLI
Mowgli aka Muggles – came as a tiny puppy with a bone protruding from his leg after a terrible accident, his tail also had sloughed off. He recovered well post amputation but unfortunately developed canine distemper. He luckily made another recovery and in no time became everyone’s favourite. He loves back scratches and belly rubs and currently occupies the CARE office.
